    Default Seamen's Orphanage

The Seaman's Orphanage (also known as the Park Hospital) on Orphan Drive. It was built in 1871-74 by Waterhouse. Queen Victoria visited it in 1886 during the Great Liverpool Exhibition. It's Maritime connection is shown in the ship carved above the doorway.
