We went on the Valentines tour last night. It was really good - pure theatre. I don't believe in all the tales but it was very atmospheric. They took us into St James Cemetary to Huskisson's tomb, the natural spring (the pool reflects the Cathedral beautifully). It was well worth the money and I would go on the Maritime one. I am thinking of taking my daughter for her birthday.

They never took us as far down as the tomb because the path was too slippy due to the snow. The snow added a great dimension to the whole tour though.

Sounds good. Think we'll do the tour sometime.

Hiya Kev, they were on the Billy Butler show last week (the organisers, not the ghosts, you understand)

It 'appears' they are going to start a famous murders/crime scene tour too.

Went on the Hallowe'en Hope st Shivers.

Great entertainment and I would highly recommend it.

I went on the tour last week that originates at The Slaughter House pub and takes in the Town Hall and St Nick's church area. I wasn't that impressed to be honest, as there weren't many ghost stories in that area, just a bit of local history.

I far prefer to read Tom Slemen's books to be honest!!

I had an idea that the Slaughter house tour wouldn't be the best - I think it's more pub orientated.

The Albert Dock one might be ok.

The Hope st Shivers is the best one because of the buildings in the area and of course the two cathedrals and cemetery.

You meet up outside the Slaughter house, then walk round the corner, through a couple of little side streets, past the town hall, past Western Approaches, through St Nick's churchyard, then back and into the Slaughter House cellar.

I've heard the Hope Street one is better, but from my recollection, there's loads of reported cases in that area of town!!
