The area took me by surprise, I didn't investigate, just took a picture. CAn anyone tell my the history of the area etc.....?

Its off one of those roads that comes off Dale Street by The Town Hall.

It's Union Court, off Cook Street. (Isn't it?).
Early Victorian Offices.

I agree with the above apart from the date. I'd be pedantic and say later Georgian rather than early Victorian but I have no proof other than a hunch.

I worked at 99-101 Dale street from 1980 until 1992, living in Trueman St, a stones throw away at the time (which was handy for lunch) and I used to have to take the rent cheque to Beavan Maples in this place, yes Union Court. They later became Beavan Mirch. Time has stood still in this little court.
