    Great photos Ged.

It must have been a comical sight to see the police Mini's screeching up to a 'bank job'.

Is that a trailer for a moped on the Smithdown Lane at Paddington photo?

I remember the Police panda cars that were pale blue with a white door.

It says Fothergill's on that trailer, possibly parked outside their premises. That Paddington caption relates to the photo below though

It's depressing seeing these photographs of Smithdown Lane and what it used to be like and comparing it with what it's like now (well, what's left of it at the Edge Hill end).

I remember Fothergills Cycle shop!, corner of Smithdown Lane/Upper Parliment st junction, they had some great cycle frames always hung outside the shop above the door and windows. one had a great view of them from the No 86 bus as it turned into Upper Parliment Street!
