    Default Deysbrook Lane

I wonder if anyone could help me with this, I'm just trying to think...

Where the TESCO has been built on the site of the old barracks, was there a pub right next door?

I know there were quite a few pubs around Deysbrook Lane.

Is the one opposite TESCO still there? Was it the Deysbrook?

Ross. Someone has mentioned to me that you might be thinking of the Princess that was a big pub set back on a car park on the corner of Deysbrook lane and Princess Drive. That was demolished a while ago after being closed down due to undesirables if I remember correctly.

I think you've hit the nail on the head there, the pub I'm thinking of was set back off the road, right on the corner next to TESCO. The last time I was up there all that remained was two sign posts - probably one at each gateway.

    This might help???

The pub opposite is a Social Club I think; There is also a small parade opposite Tesco's now.

Yes, thanks for that. I thought that was where the pub had stood.
