A Liverpool soldier who was severely injured in Iraq has become one of
the new faces of the Royal British Legion's poppy appeal.

Lance Corporal Craig "Freddie" Lundberg, 22, was blinded and almost lost his
left arm in a rocket-propelled grenade attack.

One of the aims of this year's appeal is to highlight the growing number of
under-35s asking for help.

L/Cpl Lundberg said: "It is not just for old soldiers but young ones too."
"I thought the legion was for older servicemen - like from World War II and
veterans.

"I never saw myself as a veteran at the age of 22."
