    Default Bankfield Station Tunnels In Bootle

    anyone know about the three tunnels connecting the southport branch to the old bankfield goods station are they still there? anyone been in them? any photos?

    I have ive got loads of plans and pictures of this branch from the 1950s and 60s, all the tunnels are now filled in

    great i would love to see photos of it i have seen maps and plans but no photos thanks least i know its filled in now

    That's quite a loss.
    I see in Wikimapia that the Eastern portals are still in place but there are no signs at all at the River end that there ever were any tunnels there. Totally redeveloped over.
