    Default Baptism

I have been researching my family tree and have found lots of information, but I can't find out about my own Baptism.
I have asked my sister who is my Godmother about it, but at 82yrs she can't remember where I was Christened.
I was born 27th January 1948 in the Everton area and would imagine I was Christened in a C E church nearby, can anyone help me find out when and where.

Regards Lesley A Austin nee Cairns,

That's right Karen, but it was bombed before I was born 1948, my other siblings were christened there, but can't seem to locate my own baptism, and I would really like to find out.
There were so many churches near by. St. Georges, St Chad and St Polycarps.

Got this from Lancs OPC site
"Christ Church, Great Homer St., Everton, L5 5PH
Christ Church is located at OS Grid Reference - SJ 351924
Est 1845 - destroyed in May Blitz in 1941, service continued in a Mission Hall, amalgamated with St Chad Everton in 1948
    Source: Liverpool Record Office"

    It follows on that
"St Chad (later St Chad-with-Christ), Everton Valley, Everton, L4 4EX
St Chad (later St Chad-with-Christ) is located at OS Grid Reference - SJ 354930
Est 1881 - merged with St George in 1971, church was demolished around this time.
    Source: Liverpool Record Office"

It might be worth a note to St Georges or Liverpool record office to see if they have your details. Hope this helps

There were so many churches near by. St. Georges, St Chad and St Polycarps.
But if you locate the CofE churchs near to where your parents resided when they had you you can then narrow it down and visit the churchs and ask the present vicar to look it up for you in their parish records.

When I wus born I was named George,Father,Son and Holy Ghost
