Deconstructing History at the International Slavery Museum
3rd floor of the Merseyside Maritime Museum
Albert Dock

Tuesday 16 and Wednesday 17, October
10am - 3pm

This two day family history event will allow you to explore the abolitionist movement and its links with Liverpool and also get creative!

The first day will be led by historian Dominique Tessier, who will be exploring the people and families who came to Liverpool or left Liverpool as part of the abolition of the slave trade. Dominique will also be looking at the important role of images and photography in the research of family history.

The second day will be led by a local photographer and participants will be asked to create a montage of images that record, or have been inspired, by what they have learned about Liverpool and the abolitionist movement.
