St Catherine's church on Tunnel road, now gone.

    St Malachy's School and Church

The Bridge Inn in Wavertree. Did you know that many years back a drinker came out of this pub and was run down and killed by a Camel...Yep its true, the Camel had broke free from a nearby show.

The oller where the Bridge Inn stood, I go past it regularly and it still never looks as big as when the pub was there.

Sorry peeps, but I have just had a family bereavement, so I won't be on this forum for a while. Keep up the good work.

The next batch with lots still to come.

Fraser Street in 1990. This was off Islington and just one part of our locality that was raided year on year for bonfire wood come the end of October.

Greek St off London Road including the Windsor Pub aka the Greek. New apartments are already inhabited on this site.

Hanover Street showing the row of shops and multi storey car park that has since been demolished.

Harcourt Street on the Easby Estate, Kirkdale where some of my drinking buddies once lived.

Herschell Street, Anfield. A street once noted for having name plates at each end of the street with different spellings.

Islington in 1990, just around the corner from the Fraser Street pic above.

Jamaica House not long before its demolition on the corner of Dale st and Vernon st. Its last use was as a B&B.

Ged you have pics of Springfield on your site......showing 'Blundells Buildings'. I see the building is still there, well just about! what a shame it couldn't have been incorporated into the new Fire Station.

Hiya Lizzie, yes, you'll mean Bushell's buildings, the old Cork Merchants and now a storage facility for E.A. Clares.
