    Default Catherine Woods Baptism

    Hi,

I have found a baptism for Catherine Woods at St Albans Liverpool in 1858 there are godparents named but no parents names on the listing. Does anyone have any idea why this would happen.

    Regards,

    Pat

    Hi Pat,

Catherine was a twin there are therefore two entries in the register on the same day for this family. Above Catherine's baptism entry is the entry for her twin sister Ann. The parents' names were only recorded on the first entry, on Ann's baptism record, there's a note that looks like "Gemini" probably meaning twins in latin. The parents' names in English translated from the latin were probably Francis Woods and Jane Casey. The twins were born on 23 Nov 1859 and baptised at St Alban RC Church on 27 Nov 1859. The family's address looks like Hedley Street.
