I travelled in and out of Lime Street in the 1950s and 1960s. I only remember the turntable on the far right as you exit the station by train as the only one in actual use. If I recall correctly is was powered by attaching a steam pipe from the engine to the turntable, so it could only turn engines in steam and not any cold engines brought by a shunter.
