    Default Peel development?

Went along Regent rd. today, and noticed the sidewalks were being re-built. (much of it being pretty non-existant,now!)So,I wondered if the proposed Stanley dock development by Peel Holdings, was imminent? In these cash-strapped times, any investment by the council(?)in what seems unecccessary renewal of the infrastructure in that area.( it's hardly pedestrianised!)Has anyone heard anything? (in the dock itself, what looks like a new ferry structure of some sort?)

I think you mean Regent St....

Could it be the new cruise liner terminal/pier?

The existing one is quite a disgrace.

Google map error? It puts Regent Rd, Liverpool in Great Crosby....

It puts Regent St. just behind Trafalgar dock.

Apparently, a company called Harcourt developments,is behind a plan to spend £50 million on the Stanley dock area! So,I wonder what happened to the Peel plan?

It looks like a cycle path being laid to me or is it part of the new coastal path which has being talked about recently. I don`t suppose Mr Peel would like us walking along his dock walls which would make it a true coastal path.

Regent Road runs from Crosby Rd South to Cotton St where it becomes Waterloo Rd

Talks have been going on for months Kev involving my friend Kate who runs the Heritage Market and the Council..

The Sunday Market will be moving over the road into another old warehouse..
I'll be taking the photos for Kate when she moves....
lots going on down that way...all to be revealed.
meanwhile I'm busy down there making vids around the place and getting as many photos
as I can before the re-development....
I'm down there this weekend again, wandering around for hours on my own..
I've a band photo shoot next week....
I might just take them into a few places around the Stanley Warehouses for a few 'Industrial' like shots... I always like pics of bands in dockland scenes, we'll see.. !!

The last set of plans registered showing how removing some of the low height ceilings to make mezzanine bedroom space above would solve some issues.

I know you tend to do these photo escapades alone Gerard, but one of these days I really must hide in your camera bag and follow you in to some of these places!

Ive heard that some £25m has been made available, thus unlocking the major funds (about £140m in total) for the Stanley Dock area.

Isnt the third photo the new Ferry Terminal? Its due to be put in place any day.

Another warehouse across the Stanley dock where the market could possibly move to. The scaffolding has been there for a long time now possibly a failed attempt to develope it
