Default Barefoot by the Canal, 1910

Three barefoot boys sitting on a bridge spanning the Leeds-Liverpool Canal. I am not sure of the exact spot but I am sure some reader will know it. This is Liverpool only a century ago. The photograph, taken by an unknown photographer, shows how tough life was for those at the bottom of the pile. [...]

It looks like a tow path change over bridge Colin, used to transfer the horse to the other side of the canal. This is in Bootle

    Colin,

Great picture, many thanks for sharing.
Incidentally, tried to buy your book as in the advert, but Amazon say no longer available.
Where else can I buy it?

    Hi Tony,

Type in Streets of Liverpool into the search box at the top - and it will state:
2 new from £9.99 .Just follow the link. The book is available. I am an independent retailer on Amazon and do not supply them directly - so ignore their out of stock message. If you are using a bookshop - ask them to order the book using the ISBN 9781904438984. They can do that without any problem - it is on all WH Smith and Waterstones systems. Don't be put off by shops saying it is unavailable - that is just their laziness.
