LJMU student Dan Longman has just completed his sixth book entitled ‘Wirral Then & Now’ which explores the Wirral’s historic pictorial past and is the sister publication to last year’s popular ‘Liverpool Then & Now.’



Contrasting a varied assortment of forty five archive images alongside their full-colour modern counterparts, Dan’s latest book depicts the peninsula’s changing face through the ages. The book invites readers to step back in time and compare yesterday’s sleepy rural landscapes with today’s busy townscapes and to witness the people of the past juxtaposed against their twenty-first-century descendents.
