    Hello drone

Got a photograph you can show us of the statue before its disappearance? Thanks, drone.

That statue is scheduled to get installed on Duke Street, on the plateau next to teh recently constructed cut through to Wolstenhome Sq.

    Geoffrey... Thanks for that link.

I've been on that website a long time ago, but it's great.

It's one of them where i followed your link and I finished up being on the website so long I forgot what I was doing.

    Very interesting indeed.

    Default Great Escape Statue

got this email from the council this morning...

    Karen,

I can confirm that The Great Escape Statue, (currently in storage) is intended to be re-sited within the city centre. Following the public realm works undertaken in the Church Street and Lord Street areas it was necessary to remove the statue. Property and Asset Management are liaising with the Highways Department to find a suitable location hopefully within the ropewalks area however due to the level of development within the city centre it has been difficult to locate a suitable position that would not require further upheaval in the short term.

I hope that this is a satisfactory outcome to your query.

    Regards.

    Neil Flynn

    Property and Asset Management,

    Finance and Legal Services,

Ropewalks would be appropriate as that's what the horse is depicted as being created from.
