Finally got out for a walk on the canal at Sandhills to town after all the bad weather then a pint in the Midland
OK, silly question, why is the canal closed?

The canal gets better the more north you go!
Gididi Gididi Goo.
Nice one Joe.
Initially I was sickened by what they were doing to my old tramping ground in that area ,but it is beginning to grow on me ,sadly the next generation will never be able to conceive what it was like originally or the historical ambience that existed previously when I & my grandfather worked & sailed from those docks or the thousands of migrants that boarded vessels in the Waterloo Dock to leave for a better life in the colonies . Nice pics Joe! I'm amazed at the clarity of your photo's, you must have a great lens, camera, etc., or is it just your technique?
Fly on my arm by ScouseTiegan, on Flickr
Here`s an example taken by my grandaughter, aged 11, of a fly on her arm with just one hand on the camera,a camera costing £59.which I bought her.
Thanks for reply joe, I use a Sony DSC -S75 cybershot digital , but I can't get the clarity that you, (and your young-un's) achieve! perhaps it is camera shake on my part eh! goin to look at getting a new Lumix with a Leica lens so may be better in future!
