    Presumably that was the one you could visit in the Birkenhead Docks a few years ago.

    Wasn't there a campaign to keep it open, that looked like failing?

    Anyone know what happened to it in the end?

    I've seen another shot of this, taken from the same vantage point, but the Liver clock says 12.44 I think.

    I doubt if the u-boat pictured ever became a visitor attraction,most captured WW1 u-boats were broken up for scrap by the allies.
    WW2 U-534, U-boat Story is situated at Woodside Ferry Terminal.

    Hi John

    I believe the U-Boat at Woodside is still there and is a visitor attraction that they call U-boat Story. It is a World War II German submarine, U-534, that was used for training and weather reporting during the war. So it was not the same U-Boat that was captured and photographed at Liverpool docks in 1919.

    It's interesting they left the German flag flying, even if it is below the White Ensign...
