Lennon was no Communist for sure. He was not really party political either and probably never fully understood what the parties represented or upheld in detail - not being that interested. He did have a deep sense of social justice. His disliked vested interest and the privileged establishment.

    Republican? er, er, er

Today he would be on the side of the eco movement and more towards the Greens.

Well maybe. And you know to be cynical about it, wasn't that supposedly Mark David Chapman's reasoning for shooting Lennon -- that he thought the rock star was a hypocrite who betrayed his earlier left wing principles?

Could be because of the fee he is getting from the film maker.
Let's see him prove it.What has Yoko got to say on this matter?

Maybe, but Yoko is probably cashing in more on his name than the assistant....

This youtube clip from a US telly sports show tells how Reagan sat with his arm around Lennon (in 1974) and explained how US football was played - right at the end of the clip.

The interview with Lennon in the middle of the clip shows that he had little idea of the rules of American football...

Lernnon was openly admitting he never had much od a clue about the confusing rules. Reagan was attempting to gain Brownie points as few knew who he was - everyone knew who Lennon was.

He had a whole list of people he wanted to kill which they found in his belongings. They included Liz Taylor, Paul McCartney and many movie stars. The 'changing' was a defense idea.
