If I find info that will help the poster Ged. I'll add it... gladly..

The graveyard referred to on Mandy's map was that of Holy Trinity Church on St Anne street near to Islington. It was burnt down around 1969/70 and I remember being taken to watch it. It's also on my site - can't upload today, it's gone manic with the holidays abroad today.

    Cheers,Kev.

I've had a look on Geds site and there does not seem to be any pics relating to #53 which you're after, only time will tell whether some more new pics of Islington of old will appear?

Slightly off topic,Islington is about to have another facelift...PDF file...

Nearly Sebastian, agonisingly close in fact but here are your ancestors near neighbours at Nos. 57-61 taken in 1905.

    So close, so close...

I'm astonished and devastated at the same time. ;-)

But, thank you Ged for this picture from this amazing collection. I wonder if Islington has been photographed in the 70s before all would have been demolished.

Additionally, the family's warehouse was on 299 Great Howard Street. Are there pictures of that area among your photographs as well?

    Thanks again!

Sadly, not as much of Islington photographed before demolition as should have been. I do have a few of Gt Howard Street but very few numbered. What was the business again?

Can anyone confirm for sure that Great Howard St. went up as far as 299 on the wet side?
