Default Searching for the James family

Hello everyone, I'm new here and this is my first post. I've always been curious about my family on my grandfather's side, I've been told that his family was well known and had many members so I'm trying to find some. I hope this place can help.

My grandfather was from The Wirral, Birkenhead, Merseyside. His name was James Hopwood James.

I hope someone knows something that can help me, thank you for your time.

Hi Jay, A little more info would help, such as approximate date of birth, his wife's name, etc. Was Hopwood a forename or a linked surname (ie- Hopwood-James)?

I'm not to sure when he was born. His wife was Brenda Marjorie James (Madien name Arnell). Hopwood was his middle name, I was told it was the last name of a 'rich uncle' and he was given the name as a middle name because of that. I know he had many brothers and sisters and that apprently the James family in the Wirral is quite well known. Thats all I really know.

Just read what you put Dot, its all correct, thank you ever so much.

Do you think you could find the offspring of my grandfathers brothers, my extended family?

I know some of the names of them.
Frank had two sons called Michael and Tony.
Harold had 13 children, I don't know any of them.
I don't know how many children Richard had but I know he had a son called Richard or Richie, I've met him before.

If you or anyone is able to find out anything more for me about this I would be deeply grateful as I already am with the information Dot originally found.

    Hi Jay,
    Marriages and children
Harold J S to Winifred Moran
    William James 1946 B,Head
    Sheila 1947
    Carol A 1949
    Maureen 1950
    Leslie B 1951
    Margaret 1953
    Susan 1958
    Julie 1960 All born B,Head

Frank H wed Beryl A Picton Wallasey.
    Anthony F 1963 Wallasey
    Michael L W 1965 "

    Richard H wed Margaret R Giddings 1953

    Margaret V 1954 B,Head
    Richard H 1957 "
    Helen 1963 "

The earliest marriage i could find for Benjamin was 1966 for Cheshire that would make him 38yrs old, too many for the rest of the country as with Margaret if the J H was down that would have clinched it
