    Answers asap please.. not in 9 hours after searching the internet all day..

    the pub on Islington was between Norton St and Stafford St
    it blew up due to a gas bottle explosion..

    anybody know the name of that pub ?

    The building on the right was also used by SFX school..

    we had our Technical Drawing lessons upstairs in there..
    it later became a function rooms for weddings etc..


    And the pub in the photo I asked could anybody name..?

    It was The Grapes..

    The Haig St building Joe was called the SFX Annexe...when I went there anyway..


    I also said it was a secondary school to the main SFX school on Salisbury St
    in my original post..

    I'm just saying Joe what it was called when I went there...
    it was part of the main SFX big school.. very much so
    we had History, French, and Woodworking lessons in the Annexe.. amongst other lessons.
    taught by teachers from the SFX main school on Salisbury Street...
    just to clear things up on how the school operated when I went there...

    In 1961 the college was transferred as a grammar school to its present twenty-six acre site at High Lee, Woolton.

    The School was still in Salisbury Street after this date, I take it there were two schools named SFX, am I right ??

    Corrrect, I had the bright blue SFX blazer with the SFX crest on the pocket....
    and I attended both schools. and was taught by the same teachers in both.
