Default Hope Place Synagogue & school

I think this was the Hope Place Jewish School. The Unity Theatre was the old synagogue I believe.

It's not a Jewish school any more. From memory, the building's used by John Moores University for Theatre Studies

Don't know what it is now but it used to belong to Liverpool Faculty of Art and design. I done my arts foundation course there in that very building.
I was in the room top left !
The Arts Foundation course is now housed in a new building.
The Hannaman building around the corner in Hope street was also part of the faculty - and of course, the main building further along on Hope street housed the Fine Arts dept (the dept which is famous for lots of things including that John Lennon went there).

Max, you are right that the Hope Place building used to be a Jewish school in the old days.

Default Joe H Makin Drama Centre

    See http://www.ljmu.ac.uk/PRS/59046.htm

The Drama Centre was created from a former Hebrew School building of 1856, with the generous support of Professor E. Rex Makin. ( It is named after his father ).
