Wow, didn't realise it had been so long since I've looked on here. Gotta say the pics this month are amazing. I really love the George's Hall one, Max

    Default 8th July (re-uploaded pic)

I've re-uploaded this pic as the 8th July, to plug a gap (originally uploaded at the start of the month, but it vanished together with a few other peoples').
This means days 1-5 are still available, if anyone can remember what they uploaded.

The next new pic anyone uploads should carry on as normal and be called 24th July.

Max, it might be a different angle, but it still looks very similar to the other one.
Surely the idea of POTD is to have different pictures?

    Re: Liverbird Fountain
The Conservation Museum are looking for photographs of this fountain so that they can restore it, so maybe they have some bits.
A small picture of the Liverbirds is on page 3 of this pdf page:

I wonder if the Conservation Centre is thinking of opening another part of their building as the 'Liverbird'?
They've already opened a cafe to house the Eros statue which was stolen from Sefton Park.

The building to the extreme right of that Tunnel Ventilation Shaft picture had some writing painted on the roof. I think it read 'chips 25p'. It's been a mystery to me, as it can only be seen from the river side.

Here's what I meant about that house with writing on the roof...chips 25p. I can't remember that far back, when chips were only 25p.

The cockle-hole is next to the Southern end of the Coburg Dock Marina. Coburg Wharf runs next to this small rectangular inlet. It's shown here, but only on the satellite picture (it's not shown on the ordinary map).

Hey Marky, you must be young. I remember fish and chips for less than 10p new money, 1/9p old money.
