White Tomkins & Courage Silo
Another dockside silo, this time one for storing grain. Built by White Tomkins & Courage, it would have been filled from ships berthed at Stanley Dock. A railway siding underneath could then be used to fill hoppers with grain for dispatch to various mills for processing.
Now it's in pretty poor shape, and is due to be demolished at some point for the dock's regeneration. These pictures were mostly taken in March 2006, but most of them weren't posted anywhere at the time.
