    Exclamation Misc. Liverpool Housing Pictures

    1) Arnside Street 1909

    2) Bowood Street Toxteth 1909

    3) Bungalows Menlove Av 1929

    4) House building. Childwall Valley Road 1934

    5) Dovedale Road Allerton 1908

    6) Holly Street 1914. Completed on a previous site of 'Insanitary Housing'. Workmens Houses. 2, 3 and 4 bed. Probably resembled today's city apartments!

    Kev. It was those Holly Street flats my family was living when I was born in 1962. The Eldon Grove flats currently being refurbished are from the same era and style. We lived in No.39, I live in number 39 now too. Holly Street was flattened in 1969 for the building of St. Anne street police station. A subway was built to link Christian street with Mansfield street under St. Anne street.
