    Default Census puzzler.

Brothers and sisters, I found a relative living in liverpool in 1891,but the address is difficult to read,it's in Kirkdale, parish of St.Mary's.As I read it-W--ham St.
    Can anyone help?

Theres a Wyndham street but that would mean a third letter unless you have made a mistake or your glass are not in tune with your eyes.

Brother G.P, there are certainly occasions when both of my eyes could be described as 'glassy', but unless anyone else can dispute your effort, I think you could be right, I shall re-check.Ta ta. Having taken another dekko, I'm afraid Wyndham wont do brother G.P. I'm not sure if this helps in any way, but the street before the one in question, would appear to be Major St, would that have been adjoing perhaps??

    hi Tom,
just checked a street guide for 1931 theres a Wrexham St off Kirkdale Rd or Wykeham St off Easby Rd.....Major St was off Kirkdale Rd so it could be the first one

    hope that helps

Brother G.P, I took the address from a photocopy sent to me,not very clear print I'm afraid,so your initial diagnosis re my defective peepers turned out to be correct.
