No wonder men are in and out in two seconds and women are waiting in a queue for 20 mins.!!!! We have 2 or 3 stalls in ours!!

Not according to the photie I have of the St Johns ladies bogs.

Anyway we're in and out because there's some shady geezers hanging around.

There are always queues for the ladies I don't know why they don't provide twice more than what the men have. It makes sense.
Even in St John's Market where there are quite a few in the ladies block, - there is still always a long queue - most times trailing outside of the entrance to the ladies.

It's murder if you go somewhere like the theatre or a coach trip 'comfort stop' -- the queues are horrendous. I never bother when I go to the theatre as the waiting in the interval is just too long.

I get the feeling women pass more than men? hence the queue.

Derby Square for men...in a roundabout way.

Anybody remember what was a bit unusual about the entrance to these toilets ?

Nothing major or eye catching..unless you looked close enough when going down the steps
    entering the toilet.....
(on both sides of the steps leading down to the toilet.)

Brother G.P, while I have no desire to contradict a senior member of the community, I must question the veracity of your statement re the location of this pseudo ship.As a child, Myrtle Gardens was a second home to me, and, while it is possible that I may have mis-remembered such a fun place to play, nothing about the scene looks kosher to me,least of all, the mock Tudor cladding on view.
Perhaps this is a case for Brother Ged?.

In fact I'd go as far as to say it was Upper Harrington St, a side road of Gore St.
