Visited last year, very interesting place to visit.
Glad i got to see inside before it was secured again.
Sound Pictures them!
The 2nd from bottom, is that a bell, or part of the clock mechanism?
Any Idea what the inscription is?
Suprised no one has nicked it,to weigh it in...solid Copper or Bronze?? by the looks of the discolouration
First of all, although I can't locate the thread at present, we have had pictures of the clock tower on here before, including a shot of the pinup of the nude lady. Maybe someone can point out the thread.
In terms of the name on the bell, while I can't read the name entirely, it might begin "White...." which could mean that it was cast by the famous Whitechapel Bell Foundry in the East End of London, which made the bells for Big Ben as well as the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia.
