The Welsh assembly have given their backing to plans to electify the Bidston-Wrexham line. I have only travelled on this once, it was a horrendous one car train that cant have gone more than 20 miles an hour.

The pre-WW2 train map and videos of trains going over Broadway are amazing!
Rather than reopening old stations, surely improving existing railway tracks and system and increasing the train intervals should take priority?
Every 15 mins is probably the most intensive service outside of say the London Underground. Doubt it needs to be any more than that. Bigger trains for rush hour is what is needed.
Gernerally the timetables and capacity of the trains hasnt changed since the 70s/80s when Liverpool was a loyt less busier and vibrant than it is now. Its time they had a serious overhaul of the service to meet current trends (more services on a Sunday for example now the shops are open).
that clip was great Zap, there,s nothing like trains. I prefere them than buses. Life must have been great when the city was alive and vibrant with industry. I don,t suppose I,ll ever live to see it...unless there,s a war again.
