    Default Photography Laws

Some idiot took my photo and posted it up on the internet. I contacted him and told him to take it off. He refused saying he has the rights to it. Trying to be some smart arse. He is a friend of someone I know.

    Well Well Well.....Not so.

My uncle is a Lawyer and I told him about it. He showed me a law that I could use. He then drafted a letter and it was sent to this guy who put my photo up. The photo is now down and I have recieved a letter of apology. He realised what I could do him for if he never. My uncle is a legend I would never have believed you could do someone for this..But yes you can.

    What a load of tosh,Spike

First off you and the other poster have to prove beyond doubt that the pic is yours and secondly I also have an Uncle who's in law school.

When the evidence is produced to who owns the copyright then and only then can you call in the copyright law.

p.s this cannot be done over a phone call neither.

    Not tosh at all George.

It was against my civil rights. Thats all im saying on it.

This bloke was terrified when he saw what I was prepared to do him for. Before then he was a total smart arse who though he knew everything. He changed to a little puppy after this.

This could mean any photo and anyway I object to you using Spike Milligans face as your avatar...take it down or I'll contact the photographer that took it.

    .
Ok that looks like both ways.

This guy was at a function I was at. He was taking pics and took some of my lot. One of my family asked him not to put any up of her up on the internet. He said he would not. Then he went and did. She was upset so I asked him to take it off. He refused and started being a smart arse.

Im in the pic and that dont bother me, but she was upset by it.

I wanted to go and have a word with him myself and make him take it down. He threatened to call the Police ifI did. My family talked me out of it and then my uncle showed me the law. This guy fell to Jelly over it. He has also sent an apology to my relative who he upset in the first place.

Spike not quite civil rights but it is against the Human Rights Act, basically an invasion of privacy. Everyone has the right to respect for his and family life. However it is different where the public have an accepted expectation that they will be recorded on camera, eg, airports, shopping centres, etc, The human rights act addresses this by giving written and clear warning, 'CCTV in Operation' or 'Speed cameras Ahead' [COLOR="navy"
Without permission your ugly mug should not have hit the internet.
