Default OMD Fans Liverpool meet up, Day tour and Evening event - April 2nd (The Adelphi)

On April 2nd a large group of some 50+ OMD fans from across the UK and some from Europe will be getting together and meeting up at the Adelphi for a day of fun and drinks. During the day there will be a coach trip across Livepool/Wirral visiting sites associated with the band and option to take photos.

In the evening there will be music, drinks, buffets quizzes and raffles with dozens off signed and rare donated prizes. Money raised will go to the Norwood fund
( www.norwood.org.uk - Norwood provides vital support to thousands of people with learning disabilities, and children and families in need, helping them to improve the quality of their lives and achieve their goals) - and loads of fun will be had by all.

Already over £800 has been raised for Norwood and hopefully more will be raised on the night. Also a book of fans photographs from the recent OMD Tour is available the profits from which will benefit both Cancer Research UK and the Paul Strickland Scanner Centre.

Theres still a couple of places left if anyone would like to attend (we also have a cheaper rate should you wish to stay at the Adelphi) so if youre interested just PM me. Tickets for the full day are £15 and a reduced rate if you would just like to attend the evenings events.

I hope I can soon report a great amount of money donated to these charities shortly afterwards!

Saw them at Mountford Hall late 70s before fame and fortune. We used to take 2 hour dinners from our works in Renshaw St to go the Masonic but were diverted to see them one friday afternoon. Still love their stuff.

I don't suppose you took any photos Ged?

Their live shows get better and better, the recent tour was a sell out and even in todays climate they still have a place in music (If you can excuse Atomic Kitten, that is ). These day meet ups are usually quite fun, and to raise money for charity is a welcome bonus too
