I used to go to school in the 80's with a lad called Robert Cairns. An unusual surname I didn't come across again.

Hi Caterina, I do believe that there are two separate incidents of Morans that my relatives have married into. I,ll have to get my files out to tell you the dates. Will do that later when I,ve looked through these threads and had a bite to eat, just come in.

Hi Caterina sorry but none of the names and dates, connected to my ancestors.
We did have a Margaret on my paternal side but she never married. Hope you do eventually have some success. John

    Hi,

just found this site and your search.

My maiden name is Cairns and my dad's family comes from under the bridge in Garston. My dad has been dead for nearly 12 years now and was 68 when he died. His name was Robert.

I was surprised by another reply to your request saying that Cairns was an unusual name as I thought that it was quite common, particularly spelt Caerns.

Don't know if this is any use to you

    Default Hennelly Moran Lynch Cairns

Hi Jan yes my Great Gran was a Ruth Cairns born in Manchester and she married a Andrew Hennelly. I have been so busy with my newly found five sisters and one brother so not had time for research so if we can keep each other in mind we may make a connection.
