    Default Seeking descendants of Raymond Frederick Craine aka Liverpool's Lord Mayor for 1976-77

    Hello!
    I am related to Mr. Craine's wife, Sheila E. Connor (my grandfather was Mrs. Craine's uncle). She lived on Almond's Green and he on Eaton Road in West Derby at the time they tied the knot in 1947 at St Mary the Virgin. Would like to contact family members in hopes of solving an ancestral (Liverpool) brickwall! Many thanks!

    As they both reside/d in West Derby you could try contacting the West Derby Society, as I'm sure they will be pleased to assist you.

    Hi,
    There appears to be only one possible child from the 1947 marriage of Raymond Frederick Craine [bn March qtr 1915] and Sheila E Connor;
    CRAINE, David R R - Liverpool North - Lancs - 1952 - Jun qtr.

    Hello Mr. Brash!
    Thank you for responding to my query.
    I have not been able to determine the background of my great-grandmother Ellen Connor / Sheila Craine's grandmother. All I do know is that she was born Beatrice Ellen Goodwin circa 1868 somewhere in Staffordshire. She passed away in 1938 on Nov 18 in Walton. She was living on Willowdale at the time. Daughter Jane Elizabeth and son Edward (aunt & uncle to Sheila) were both in the insurance trade at the time. I am not certain what Sheila's dad Frank did for a living.
    I wonder if anyone might have a link to any of these folks or have a clipping of Ellen's obituary.
    Any memories you might have can always provide clues.
    Thank you for your time.
    Nathalie
