The BBC wiped many of the recording tapes of Dick Barton Special Agent.
A full set surfaced in Australia & it is planned to broadcast them shortly. When they were transmitted originally at 6.46 AM weekly no mother had to call their cherished offspring for dinner. As if by magic every one of them would appear ready for their meal. Of course it was nothing to do with the wireless programme.
