Looks just like your oldest, Kev.

    Liverpolitan.
    They're great photos of Liverpool.
Would you like to put them in "Old Liverpool"?

    Thanks Drone.

Philip - yes I should put the betters ones up in "Old Liverpool". I like the James Street one, it was obviously taken before they enclosed the bridge over the tracks. The frustrating thing is that I am sure there are loads more somewhere, as my Dad loved taking pictures and even made his own amatuer "dark room" thing because it was costing too much to get them developed. He used to like taking pictures around Birkenhead Docks so I am sure I must have some from there. I am just not sure where they are. I'll try to get some more scanned before too long.

I was looking at what you called a sink, it looks to me like an old fashioned baby high chair with a baby bath sitting on top of it.

WOW love the pic with the Daimler Corpy buses at the LIME Street turminus of routes 23/24/28

    Default liverpool pics

Hello Liverpolitan, smashin, pics. That one of the fountain in Drury Lane shows the office block that I used to work in. In fact I did my last days work in that block in 1999 before I "retired". It,s called Mersey House.

    Thanks.

They're particularly special because the 1960s & 1970s photos seem to be the rarest.
Probably, like your father's, they're still waiting to get a wider showing.

Thanks for the comments everyone - I will start looking through the negatives and see what else there is, and hopefully put some more pics up once I get them developed.

Nice one Liverpolitan, any more of the commie blocks? I'm always interested to see old pictures of Liverpool with loads and loads of tower blocks.

    I posted your picture here:

Its a thread for wierd people like me who romanticize tower blocks.

Just asks me to log in. But your page has been posted on the skyscrapercity thread and is amazing!

    Quote from Butterfield - Birmingham:
"That Liverpool link really is shockingly fantastic! I nearly choked looking at it."

Did you get a lot of your pictures from books?

And if you like tower blocks - have you seen the Red road ones in Glasgow? No less than 32 floors!
