    Default Neptune Theatre

A TWO-YEAR delay in the restoration of one of Liverpool’s best-loved theatres is threatening its chances of being open in time for Capital of Culture year. more

YET another scheme which was due to be ready in time for Capital of Culture year has become bogged down in delays and recriminations. more

Doom and gloom for the Echo.

Doom and gloom for the Echo.
I don't know why people are trying to blame the council for this. Yet again it's greedy people asking for too much money that is delaying regeneration. We have seen the same thing with numerous projects such as the Lime Street Gateway and the Edge Lane project.
These people fail to see the bigger picture and are extremely selfish and narrow minded. This needs to stop or we are in danger of money going somewhere else to avoid all the complications of building in Liverpool.

After the Playhouse the Neptune is the second oldest 'working' theatre in Liverpool.
It opened in 1915 as the Crane Hall, and was designed by W Aubrey Thomas, the architect of the Royal Liver Building.
    Crane's specialised in selling pianos.
