I remember it, the staff used it in the 90's.
I was doing some work in the store one time after hours and jumped in to go up to the top floor. Half way up it got turned off and I was stuck between floors. Was shouting for ages before someone turned it back on. It used to be scary jumping on it as it was in motion, Don't think they would be allowed thes days.

Just had a quick look, and it's the "Our Father" in latin! Not surprisingly I suppose, it's quite familiar! They certainly knew how to indoctrinate, when I was a lad!

There was one in the Hovis factory in Wallasey, or 'The Mill' as we called it, scarey.

There's a few that still survive, like this one.

I wouldn't give Satan a snowball's chance in hell against a woman's ego, man. He'd rule the Earth for a day. A week later we'd see Satan out cuttin' the lawn.

I remember it well! Don't think it would pass Health and Safety regs nowadays... The prayer, I seem to recall, was recited by those who either were anxious about jumping off at the right moment or by those who forgot to get off in time and consequently went over the top, got inverted and returned on the downward return journey!
