More cant be taken again Liverpool photos... for one reason and another..

    Before the new Ferry Terminal..

A horrible black shiny thing now blocks this view.. Coopers has now gone.

Another horrible black shiny thing stands where the nuclear block is in this photo..
(I wonder..did any of these fresh faced archtiects out there ever get told 'Use your Initiative'..?...)

Lets have change by all means.... lets also have something a bit different from everywhere else.

this photo was taken about 5 years ago.. its making its debut here and now..
it shows part of the JMU complex across Byrom St opposite the bottom of Leeds Street.

Paradise Street looking toward Church St and Whitchapel past the Radio Merseyside offices..
cant remember showing this before either....

I'm not a great fan of the current vogue for black architecture. Not only does it tend to make buildings look rather austere but, in a city with a large population of pigeons and gulls, it requires a lot of cleaning.

The former LJMU nuclear block (Max Perutz Building) is still there hidden behind the large new black Tom Reilly Building. It is however to be refurbished in the new year and re-clad, you've guessed it, in black.

    Firstly - Cracker photo's.
    Secondly - Love the postcards
    Thirdly - Well done.

These plain black odd shaped buildings have nothing about them that pleases the eye

    Hi Gerard

Are you sure about that? Haven't you heard the song?

"Maggie Maggie May, they have taken her away!"

Just ribbing yer, lad. I wish you a lot of success marketing your postcards and photographs.

Cheers to you and yours and thank you once again for making the scattering of my Mum's ashes from the ferry in the Mersey in early October happen. I will be eternally grateful.

    The shop looks very smart.

I didn't know that church was falling into dereliction. I never knew it had closed. What's going to happen to it? Is it going to be demolished ?

    Thanks Linda..

Its been closed a while now Lind due to lack of funding.. so I believe.

I've heard theres interest in doing something with the priests house.
theres been no enquiries regarding anything happening with the church.

    Ta Lind..
