That camera may be worth a few bob in time to come if Gerard hits the big time,

I trust the trip is going well kevin, Struth ! , that German fella must be good then.
When it comes to spirits ,I reckon our Gerard prefers his in a glass though !

    Hiya Kevin...

Hope you are having a good time mate....

I've been looking at the work of Thomas Struth for about 4 hours after seeing your post earlier..
I'm really impressed by his photography, thanks for bringing him to my attention.

I'll tell you what mate, I cant believe how much some of his work reminds me of what I try to do..
I'm not saying I'm in the same class.. you know what I mean Kev....
and thank you very much for your opinion that our work is similar..
that really is one of the best compliments I've ever had, thank you so much..

I've looked at his work all afternoon.. I've seen many of his photos that are similar to mine...

    Heres a few....

This >>> One of Mr Struths is uncanny in the angles being similar..
the doorway and the ceiling angles... remind me very much of my effort below

And this >>> One taken by Mr Struth......

I could not believe it when I first viewed Mr Struths photo..
I took my photo in Spain about 6 years ago..

And this photo >>> taken by Mr Struth....
has a slight !!!... resemblance to my effort below...

This.... takes the biscuit, and makes feel something spooky is going on..

Great Gerard - glad you liked it. I was stunned when I walked into a room of his street scenes - thought of you work straight away.

Well Gerard, hang on to your hat and don't go getting big headed. I was at the gallery with some colleagues, a couple of them old friends. A few Portuguese, an American, and two French. I mentioned you as soon as I saw Struth's work and they expressed interest so I've just shown them a few samples. Knocked 'em dead - particularly the smoker. Uniform consensus was that they were more impressed with your work than Struth's.
Give yourself a pat on the back!
