Gerard, you can be sure mate that your social history photos will most definitely be more than welcome in any historians archive, they hold and tell so much.just love the "stitched " photo of Lime Street concourse, that's an angle you never saw, very cleverly joined. Keep 'em coming, great shots, great history..

And again - Excellent pics. The B&W pic reminded me...
You know what is missing from the Pier Head and we really could do with it back ?
    Any ideas ? No ?

The DOUGHNUT SHOP and the smell of those doughnuts. I would walk with my mum to the Pier Head just to get some doughnuts for the journey on the bus home. Ahhhhhh, lovely aroma.

More gone that cant be taken again...
(Next up tonight... the blocks around Grosvenor Street..
from the hundreds and hundreds of photos I took..
inc inside the blocks and views that nobody else took.. one offs...
MY contribution to how my area once looked for future generations to see....)

    My old St Gregs/Campion school..
with the only photos inside of it being demolished....

I went to St Gregorys, along with my Mrs..
my 2 lads went in later years when it was Campion...
my lad went back and taught music at Campion to kids from our area after graduating from LIPA....
a fact I'm very very proud of....

St Gregs.. the unseen inside shots of it being demolished..

    From Everton Terrace..

Good shots there Gerard ,that will no doubt mean a lot to all who attended there.

Isnt it strange how when we were in school most of us couldn't wait to get out of the place, and would have been over the moon if overnight someone decided to demolish the place. Then when we get a bit older and our wish comes true we long to turn the clock back so we could walk those corridors one last time......I know mate its called nostalgia isn't it, and contributions on this forum from you Gerard, and Ged and others go some way to fulfilling those desires, thanks !

    Thanks cp..

Nostalgia is right mate.. its funny as you say how your ideals change as you get older...

I've only shown a few of the pics of St Gregs being demolished..
I tend to do that these days.. keep them a while before showing them..
I've pics inside places cp I wont show until they are well gone and demolished..
I've taken pics of various places.. unusual high up views of Lime Street area from the car park opposite..next thing... everybody's got them days later..
I've wised up on that one mate....

(Like my Everyman Theatre pics... I've thousands of them, taken in the closing week when I roamed the place with the staff in the kitchens etc...

I kept them until it was demolished, if I'd shown a single photo they'd all have them now...
terrible, innit eh.. ... a man cant show his work because of being followed........)

    Cheers matey..

    The blocks before being demolished....
I've got the only photos inside the blocks when they were being demolished....
