The original Cavern entrance was just to the right of the people in the photo walking down Mathew Street...
you walked into the entrance, down the stairs..
and straight ahead about 50 yards or so to the actual famous stage...
I went once before just before it closed, maybe twice at the most.. I could never get in being too young...
The neon sign is the entrance these days.... you go in that entrance and down the stairs...
turn left, and walk straight ahead...
you'd be by the stage to the right where the people are in the photo..

My friends are the resident bands these days in The Cavern...

It was a great night.. amongst great friends..
it was an honour to be asked along to take the photographs...

My photo above went for £30 in the auction..
