Well.. its back on the streets for me..

.... My 1st photo exhibition is coming to an end after 6 weeks..
Parr Street has had more phone calls about my exhibition and visitors to my exhibition than any other exhibition..
Not bad considering I've only mentioned it here on YoLiverpool..
I haven't harrished local phone ins with hundreds of Emails and phone calls mentioning me and my work, exhibition.. or my website... not a single once.. each to their own.. eh.. ..
(..Its a small place is Liverpool.. word soon gets around.. )

To those that have visited the exhibition and Emailed me with congratulations..
or left comments here on Yo.. thank you.
To those that have visited my exhibition and said f*** all.. thanks anyway..

What its all about for me.. taking photos.. f*** your exhibitions and VIP events..

    Thank you for that cp..

Personally, I like taking pics of people.. the closer and more intimate the better..

Just my opinion.. anybody can point a camera at a brick wall..
the art to me is up close and personal....

    Thanks cp mate...

You'r so right Gerard, in your people shots the Eyes always seem to pull you in to the image ,its uncanny
    .
.and.on a lighter note mate ,isnt it funny how many people instinctively put there tongue out when a camera is pointed there way, I think we,ve all done it sometime or other havent we, as nicely captured in your last but one shot

Spill the beans, Gerard. Is it to do with depth of focus - the eyes always being the optimum focus point and everything else just that 1% off?

    Kevin mate,
there's all kinds I could go on about acting clever involving 'Bokeh'.. (DOF..)
truth is mate, I dont know.. I just point.. and shoot...
maybe I've got my technique right and dont know exactly what the magic formula is..
    if there is any.

Something works.. and I dont want to know what in case I try and change it..
I'll just plod on pointing and clicking...
(Oh, and make em laugh.. it puts people at ease.. be yourself, never look down on people.. thats one thing I learnt very early... I decided to take the opposite stuck up attitude I saw a few professional photographers take...never to s.lag anybody off and act big time.. treat people with respect... not that I'd ever treat people like sh.ite anyway... but a particular episode will always stay with me......my exposure OK these days.. SDK..?..)

    Cheers Kev mate..

    Gerard.

I live in the real world Mart, I always will..
I'll never believe anything on these fantasy forums.. particularly what people say about me..
its all nice.. but some get too carried away and start acting soft with their own self importance..

That wont happen with me.. not in a million years.

    Cheers Marty..

So I took up the invite to the new Museum opening day breakfast morning...

The sausage butty was very nice.. Phil Redmond looks well with his haircut..
but I had to get off.. I never stayed long, took a few pics of the OHR carriage and did me flit...

Liverpools dockland was calling... and Liverpools dockland always comes first...

And the Stanley Tobacco Warehouse was all mine.. again, alone..

A wander around the deserted Sunday Market..

My mate Billy's boat has arrived !!.. in his yard..
