How to Distinguish a Banana from a Yam

Sweet potatoes are members of the species
    Ipomoea batatas.

That is not, my good friends,
    Ipomoea bananas.

A sweet potato is orange in and out,
except when it is brown outside.
A banana is yellow out and white in.

    A sweet potato, though,
is not a true yam, i.e.,

    a member of the family
    Dioscoreaceae.

    There is absolutely no truth
to the rumor that the banana

    belongs to the yam Diaspora.

Impressive, a man who knows his batatas from his bananas.

    Well done again Chris
