    Default Grandmother fined for littering

A grandmother has been fined £75 after failing to pick up a piece of litter
in Merseyside she says she did not drop
    .

Bridget Molyneux, 75, was walking down a street in Anfield when she went to
pick up what she thought was a £5 note.

When she saw it was a receipt she left it but as she walked away Mrs
Molyneux said two council wardens told her she had committed an offence
    and fined her.

She said: "I though it was a joke. I explained what happened but they said I
should have picked it up anyway."

Would the warden have gone up to a gang of pot smoking ASBO teenagers dumping beer cans on the ground and fined them? Bet he would'nt of.

Is he on commision? would explain his hasty attitude.

Give them a uniform and a title

    I heard about this case.

It makes you laugh - we are plagued with asbo yobs all around the Anfield area and open drug dealing. There are gangs on Priory rd, Breck rd, Townsend lane, Oakfield rd, gangs who are vandalising anything in sight, breaking car windows and so on. They goad the wardens. They laugh at them and shout after them. Last week one of the wardens was hit on the head.

I'm sorry that the wardens have to contend with this scum but you'd think that they would show a bit of common sense when it comes to cases like that lady. I heard that someone was taken to task for dropping a cigarette end. I'm not saying it's ok to just drop your fag ends anywhere but I wish the wardens would clean up the scum first.

Was woken up at 2:am some scallie smashing in the window of a neighbour's car.

Also, I have just come in from my morning walk with my dog and I've had to pass the usual 'drug queue'. (I frequently see the deals changing hands.)
The dealer is one of the little toerags from the asbo gang. He's only about 15
He is well known to the police. The wardens we have been talking about know him and his gang only too well.

Dealing and cars being broken into are daily occurences around here

If this is at regular times, ring crimestoppers anonymously and tell them to be there hiding beforehand, unless of course they're otherwise busy spying on pensioners.

I wouldn't mind but we get loads of kids spilling off from the loop line and hang around at the bottom of our road, there's a copper that lives about 10ft away from this fence and does he do owt about it or ask for a patrol to pass?

This particular well known gang have been picked up on numerous occassions and especially the one doing the dealing. We always say, 'oh good, maybe we'll see the back of them now' - but next thing is they are out swanning around again. Some of them have been put away for a short time but no sooner are they taken away and they are back again.
It looks like we'll never be free of them and it's got to the point now were people are just having to like it or lump it.
I could write a book about what has gone around my district regarding this gang.
What riles me is that decent people are forced to have to live alongside of them and their anti-social families. people who have spoken up against them have been on the recieving end of some pretty nasty treatment.

Sorry to have gone on about this - It's just an excuse to get a rant off your chest! If I told you all of it I'd be here forever.

Jobsworth council workers. Is this what my council tax is paying for? Just like the mini-Hitler railway guards, fining people with a genuine reason for not having a ticket, but just kicking off the scallies who never buy tickets at the next station.

They're kidding themselves into thinking they're dealing with the problem, but they're just missing it entirely. The statistics will show plenty of fines issued, but the problem won't go away.
