I wonder if they've ever considered some sort of transparent perspex (or similar) cover.
It's such a shame that the floor is usually hidden from view.

Philip G, according to the official St Georges Hall leaflet that is available in St Georges Hall itself it states that "This is just the eight unveiling since the floor was covered in 1883" I was just quoting the official blurb.
