There's a Superlambanana mock-up outside the Met Quarter. I've no idea how long it's been there.

THE Metquarter has become the latest business to sign up to a major art project centred around Liverpool’s Superlambbanana. Read

I,d rather see new statues of the Liverbirds around the city and a flippin, huge one on the crossroads of Church/Paradise,Lord/Whitechapel for the new era instead of promoting lambanana which has no relevence to the city whatever and some loony is promoting crap and trying to make a name for himself. Cute as they are, there is no place in our culture or city for rubbish like this.

I should add that having seen how the Superlambanana has been bolted down it might not stay there for long!

I agree that we should have Liverbirds everywhere and especially a huge one like Chippie descibes - it would be fantastic.

I do like Superlamb as well though

I would rather see the diddy men as statues around the city,or the liverbird or even a tree planted instead.
Ugly thingz them lambanana's and who said they're "super" ?
I was recently asked by students who where doing a project on "waste of money in Liverpool".Guess what was coming top. They told me everyone who they had questioned didn't like or want these lambanana's.
    Who does?????

Quick Max ask someone to take your photo ontop of one, you might get a prize from Kev. Mind you it could end up being a superlambanana key ring, ha ha

There's another in Old Hall Street, but you'll have to look through some windows to see it.

They/ it as an ironic comment on the dangers of genetic engineering, as well as to reflect the city's playful sense of humour.

The lambanana was a piece of art commissioned in the city. It had a typical Scouse response of either Loving or Loathing it.
I love it and I am glad that they are springing up around the city.

It's also a reminder that Fyffes at Garston were the major importers of bananas to this country, although I don't know if the sculptor was aware of that.
