Yeah but you wouldn't get some dad trying to climb the lions on St. Georges plateau or King George III on London Road to try and sit his kid on their backs for a photo would you - these are a bit lower and a bit more accessable.

Not long now. I see Yobo has scored in the last 2 Nigeria games over the last week and they've kept 3 clean sheets on the run. Torres and Kuyt are scoring in Euro 2008 - I wonder if they'll all be knackered by August (you know the way they're molly coddled these days - poor sods)

MEET BackBitternBanana standing guard outside the Metropolitan Cathedral.

The statue was created by artists Sophie Bower and Katherine Pattullo and is sponsored by the LJMU
    School of Art and Design.

It started its journey by being ceremonially transported as part of the recent Lord Mayor’s Parade, moving from its original home in Back Bittern Street to the cathedral plaza in Brownlow Hill.

The statue is one of 120 spread around the city.

    Default lamb bananas

How mindless are these people who have defaced the lamb bananas,
my daughter -in -law to be .done the one at the waterfront which was done for the waterboard. it was the water cycle ,they have broken the clouds off it and the pedal. They dont realise all the hard work that was put in by all these people for the city of Liverpool .How can we expect tourists and the people of l,pool to accept this mindless behaviour. Is it any wonder why we get such bad press.

I saw a preview copy of the leaflet that the Tourist Offices will have on the SLB the other day. On it is a number on which you can ring the SLB "vet" to come out and do repairs so hopefully it can be fixed. Totally agree with you though that it shouldn't have to be.

Here's me thinking I couldn't get the cathedral in the background when I tried a similar pic.

I wonder if the same people behind Steven Gerrard's missing birthday cake are involved in it?

After what that discredited company did to the Josephine Butler House, I wouldn't be surprised if they've engineered the "theft" themselves in order to generate some much-needed positive publicity.
Besides, wasn't their SLB a blatant piece of self-advertising?

Here's the one in Dingle Lane.
    At night.
