I must admit I'm very disappointed - I'm visiting Liverpool in September, and expected to see them - I thought they were a "Capital of Culture 2008" project, not a seasonal spectacular.

What a shame they're going. I also thought they would be in Liverpool until at least the end of the year. Perhaps a word to the city fathers might make them have a re-think. If enough people write and tell them how much they want them to stay at least they'll know that we care about them.
Hopefully the shops will still have the smaller versions on sale so those who want to can buy them. The cows that were on parade in Manchester a while back were also seen in Prague and a lot of shops there had and still have the smaller versions on sale.

I don't recall ever reading they would be here outside summer? (a quick look back in this thread seems to agree)

Besides, it perfectly suits being a temporary/summer project. After all, who wants to trudge around Norris Green on a cold dark November afternoon

You can buy mini ones from Mr. SLB though the 2 foot ones are not cheap

Down to the last two to photo - Moel Famau and Ness Gardens (plus Urbansplash, obviously)

I think some/most/all? of the community ones are staying for a while, or rather they're not being auctioned...

glad love me doodle coming back, although I got it at Garston couldn't afford the trip to Euston to photograph it there.

wish I could drive, I'm going to really struggle to get the last few I need in such a short space of time by bus. bad weather and poor health has buggered me since Friday. I've lost 5 days SLB hunting.

I should be able to get 2 after my hosp appt Wednesday.
last 3 of them will need a day each, so I'm cutting it fine.

I have heard Cobalt one in Norris Green has been destroyed by mindless yobs

so Cobalt's lambanana has been vandalised. Pity it wasn't Cobalt (useless housing company) as I will never ever forget what they did to my mum!!!!!

It's at Lime St now, stood between the other two, by the Virgin info booth.

    fabulous! cheers for that.

I wasn't at hosp as long as usual so I managed 3 and a few more mini ones.

we left the hozzie and jumped the bus down from town to Clubmoor.

Bridge-it is re-cooperating at the Clubmoor Youth Centre Larkhill Lane

then 2 buses later some more mini ones at Fazakerely hospital

    outside the chapel

    in the dining room

    and by the general office

there is supposed to be another one near the cancer unit but didn't have time to do that one today.

then yet another couple of buses later
    Fizz at Fazakerly Federation

and after 4 buses and getting lost finally arrived at Tiger in the woods (thanks Lottie for the help there, good job you had your mobile on!)

the matchworks installation is still not complete apparently. something else is to be added to the plain ones in the windows. so if Sir Kev could keep his eyes peeled (as he lives that way) I'd be grateful.

don't know about Airmiles...I wish they did busmiles! I'd have earned a few today. absolutely shattered, but I'm determined to get them all.

the Tranmere one is now on the official list 123. Rover

    Sponsor: The Johnson Foundation
Location: Directors? Car Park, Prenton Park.
Rover can be seen from 8am ? 5.30pm, Monday to Saturday and 8am ? 1pm on Sundays

    updates on the SLBs

    84. ?Peek-a-boo? Newsham Superlambanana
?Peek-a-boo? is recuperating with the SuperVets, and unfortunately won?t be back in time for the end of the trail.

this was the one whose tail was set on fire...

and it means I'll NEVER be able to get the full set as I will have visited all the other 124 by the weekend. I hate being sick, if I'd have been up to it I'd have done them all sooner.

    94. Cobanana
Cobanana is not feeling very well and unfortunately won?t be able to make it back to his home for the end of the trail.

understatement of the year...I heard he was totally destroyed by yobs

    110. Mandy 'Mandala Superlambanana'
Mandy is now in her new home at Berkeley Place, Upper Parliament Street

oh and that answers my question from earlier
    100. Urbanasplash
Due to technical problems this Superlamb won?t be installed until week commencing 26th August. Details will follow.
