Default Opera - The Daughters Of The Regiment

Now...not sure if I can post this here but I hope I can as this opera company means alot to me, they have done alot for liverpool. They produced the first production of 'Amelia Di Liverpool' for the 08 bid with the promise of it being funded by the city's arts council. Unfortunately the promised money from that has never materialised so the company is very much in debt and could use your help.

Their name, Una Voce, is also a part of their philosophy. It means one voice, and their motto is opera for all and all for opera. They want to bring opera to anyone and everyone at affordable prices.

    Onto the advert.

Una Voce Opera Company is presenting Donizetti's Opera 'The Daughter of the Regiment' SUNG IN ENGLISH. The opera is a very happy one, involving a love story set in the time of Napoleon's invasion of Europe set in 1805 and has lots of twists and turns. We have a super Cast of Principals from the world of opera and Johnny Kennedy (of Dune FM) is playing the part of Hortensius, the Marchioness's servant.

The Daughter of the Regiment is on at The New Cambridge Theatre, within Southport Art Centre, Lord Street, Southport from Wednesday 16th until Saturday 19th May 2007 - 7.30pm start.

Tickets are priced from £8.00 to £15.00 only and we will give concessions for Group Bookings, Pensioners, Students and Unwaged.

For further details and for bookings contact Una, Martha or James McAulay Una Voce Opera Company telephone 0151 924 8972 or email unavoceopera@hotmail.com

Please come along, I am props mistress, and I have helped with costumes and sets too. You also may get to see me on stage. The cost of the seats depends on where you sit, the majority of the seats are £10, which is a fraction of the cost of going to see an opera in the empire theatre. I promise that the opera is funny, heart warming and very easy to understand. Dawn French was in the same opera in London's west end in january, so if she can understand it enough to perform it, you can. Please do come and see it as we need your help so we can keep producing operas of which the ticket prices are affordable.

    Thank you.

Sorry it is so long and I hope I was allowed to post this in the first place...if I wasn't please remove it and dont kick me *hides* ^_^''
I wonder if he'll make me crawl. I wonder how far I might fall. I'm stuck beneath my skin I don't know who to blame for this mess I'm in. Involuntarily falling to my knees another victim of heart disease. Another Night without a dark tunnel, stay in bed so I can't be stolen. And everything revolves around the fear of my fate. Everyday a little closer to death.
